Le (Cindy) Xu, RLA, LEED BD+C AP | Landscape Architect

Le (Cindy) is a Landscape Architect with SALT DESIGN STUDIO. Her background in landscape architecture, environmental design, and product design across multiple continents has allowed her to develop a deep, multidisciplinary understanding of design on varying scales. Cindy’s interest in ecological restoration and building resilient communities fuels her desire to create high-functioning, beautiful, and equitable landscapes. She has been involved with numerous master planning development and rehabilitation projects, ranging from design and construction of a National Historical Park to small-scale public arts park development. Other experience includes design of large-scale corporate campuses, higher education campuses, streetscapes, public gardens, and cultural sites. She has also been involved with SITES and LEED certified projects.

Cindy serves on design juries at PennDesign, Tongji University, and PennPraxis. Previously, Cindy volunteered with Design for Kids in Shanghai and with the Community Design Collaborative in Philadelphia.

Cindy is a Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Indiana with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Tongji University in Shanghai.
